FTP-Stream is being upgraded to Kiteworks multitenant over the coming months as per our initial communication on May 29th, 2025. FTP-Stream customers who migrate to Kiteworks will have both environments active simultaneously for a period of three months from the date you are given access to your new Kiteworks account. For those who choose not to migrate, FTP-Stream will be available until the end of your contract, but it will not be renewed.

Data copy, incremental syncs, testing, and final upgrade.

  • You will receive an email confirmation that your FTP-Stream data has been copied to your new Kiteworks account, as well as a secure message with details to access the account. At your earliest convenience, please login to your new account, familiarize yourself with the administration and user interfaces, inform your users and partners of the new URL, and start testing.
  • Be sure each of your partners tests using the new hostname and SFTP folder structure.

We will perform incremental data synchronizations for both accounts on +30 days, +60 days and lastly on the final cutover date which will be approximately +90 days. You can find a schedule with specific dates for your data center here:

Will my IP Address change?

Yes. On Kiteworks multitenant, a URL or hostname should be used. We will communicate your new URL and hostname when we send you your access details via secure message. 

If a dedicated IP address is an important feature to retain, we will need to upgrade you to Kiteworks Enterprise single-tenant instead of Kiteworks multitenant. Kiteworks Enterprise single-tenant provides all functionality of Kiteworks multitenant, but is deployed as a dedicated, single-tenant instance rather than a multitenant instance, which also provides better overall performance. Please contact your salesperson for a quote.

2Will my hostname change?

Yes. It will change to Mycompanyname.kiteworks.cloud.

Does Kiteworks have equivalent certifications and compliance features like Maytech FTP Stream?

Kiteworks has extensive information security and compliance certification including ISO 27001, Cyber Essential Plus, and SOC 2 Type II. It enables compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA and GDPR.
