What is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-factor authentication ("TFA" or "2FA") adds a second layer of security to your online accounts. Verifying your identity using a second factor (like your phone or other mobile device) prevents anyone but you from logging in, even if they know your password.
Figure 1: How It Works
You log in to your FTP-Stream account as usual with your user name and password, and then use your device to verify that it's you - enter verification code.
One of the major benefits of 2FA is a higher level of protection for your FTP-Stream account and the data held within it. This is because 2FA reduces the risk of an intruder gaining access to it.
